Questions

Before you join

Is ConnectED free?

Yes. Students never pay to browse, attempt or submit challenges.

Who can join?

Students at universities on ConnectED, using their university email. If yours isn't recognised yet, let us know and we'll add it.

I'm a complete beginner. Is this for me?

Yes. Year 1 challenges are marked Guided: each has a Start here guide, free learning links, hints you open one at a time, and a short checklist. If a submission doesn't pass, you can try again.

Do I need a GitHub account?

For coding challenges, yes, and it's free. We connect it in one tap. Other challenges accept files, Figma links or written answers.

What happens after I submit?

A reviewer from your campus checks your work against the published assessment criteria and sends a score with written feedback you can act on.

Who can see my work?

Your portfolio shows completed challenges, scores and reviewer feedback. Verified employers and anyone with your link can see it, and you can switch it to private anytime in Settings.

How do employers reach me?

They can't see your email or phone. They send a request to your campus admin, who decides whether to forward it to you.
